Michael Kazouris on effective time management

Michael Kazouris is a private investigator and a process server, currently residing in Tarpon Springs, FL. He is a successful professional and was in law enforcement for many years. Here he shares some tips for effective time management which he has learnt from his work experience:

Plan the day ahead

In order to accomplish a task, it is important to take the first few minutes of your day to plan the rest of the day. This will help you get things done efficiently.

Allowing zero interruptions

Sometimes it is important to lock yourself in, to get things done. Here’s a tip: put a do not disturb sign on your door to avoid interruptions.

Completing the important tasks first

To have a successful day, try to complete the most important tasks first. When you are done with that, your day is already a success.

Get proper sleep

Some people tend to underestimate the importance of a good night’s sleep. Getting proper sleep will help you start your day with a refreshed mindset and it also helps your mind function optimally.

Learn to focus

It is important to focus at the job at hand so that you can give your best and get it done on time. Block out everything else and concentrate on your work.

Exercise

Exercising daily promotes a healthy lifestyle which in turn allows you to focus more clearly.

Limit social media time

Michael Kazouris agrees that unless social media helps you grow your business, it is one of the biggest distractions that delay your work, therefore, try to limit your time spent browsing and focus on your work.
